Hello!
Welcome to my website! Thank you for stopping by! I’d much rather draw than write, but here’s a little bit about me…
I’ve had an interest in art from a young age and have happy memories of visiting St. Ives, and seeing artists by the sea, painting away. At the age of four I told my teacher that when I grew up I wanted to be an artist, wear a painter’s smock and live by the sea. Fast forward several years and an art degree later, and I’m still doodling away! I’m not quite by the sea, but there’s time!
I take most of my inspiration from nature as, along with art, my biggest passion is the natural world. Living in Yorkshire I’m lucky to have lots of habitats to explore. I love bird watching, woodland adventures and coastal strolls. With my love of nature, being environmentally friendly is also very important to me. I try and source as many of my materials from local, independent companies and use recycled, recyclable and compostable materials.
When I can’t be outside, it’s time to stick the kettle on, put some music on and get creating!
I’ve always felt happiest using traditional drawing materials. Over the years I’ve progressed (or maybe regressed!) from digital graphic design, to pen & ink illustration and now, most recently, Lino printmaking. I get real satisfaction out of creating images through print and have some illustrations for sale in my shop.
If you would like any further information, please get in touch! I also have an Instagram page if you’d like to see any more of work.
Thank you!
